ジョージ・ハリスンの1973年の名盤『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』の、50周年アニバーサリー・エディションが発売になります。
11月15日発売予定。
今回、息子ダニー・ハリスンと妻オリヴィア・ハリスンが監修して、オリジナル・テープから完全リミックスを制作。リミックスを担当したのはグラミー賞を3度受賞したポール・ヒックス。
「スーパー・デラックス・エディション・ボックスセット」（2LP+2CD+Blu-Ray+7″Single）のBlu-ray Audioにはドルビーアトモスを収録とアナウンスされています。他に5.1ch、ハイレゾステレオ、アウトテイクなども収録の模様です。
さらにこのボックスの特徴を挙げると、180g重量盤LPレコードと７インチのアナログも収録。ブックレットも収録。
ボックスセットの他にCD、LPレコードで通常盤とデラックスエディションが発売されます。
ジョージのオリジナル・ソロ第2作、ヒット曲「ギブ・ミー・ラヴ」収録
『リヴィング・イン・ザ・マテリアル・ワールド』は1973年に発表された、ジョージのオリジナル・ソロ作品としては第2作になるもの。
このアルバムからシングル「ギブ・ミー・ラヴ」が大ヒットしました。
YouTubeでは、この50周年盤から未発表音源「Give Me Love (Give Me Peace on Earth) (Take 18)」が公開されています。エレクトリック・ギターやピアノなどが入る前のテイクでしょうか、印象的なアコースティック・ギターでジョージが歌います。
